Residents of Subukia sub-county have decried the poor state of Subukia market calling on the county government of Nakuru to take action.

Speaking to media on Tuesday, residents said the market is in a poor state with poor sanitation.

"We are now living in danger and fear of an outbreak as this market is in a poor state with no proper drainage system,"said one of the residents.

They now appeal to their elected leaders at the county and national level to step in and sort out the issue.

"This is an area where we get our daily bread but we just appealing to our local leaders to assist raise the standard of the market,"said another resident.
