The residents said the flash floods have filled their latrines and now overflowing into the streams as the rains continue in the area.

Speaking at the village, some of the residents led by elder Benson Gatundu, Emily Maritim, Jacinta Wangoi, Alice Malel and former councilor Francis Maritim said most of the homes were submerged by the raging floods.

"The toilets were filled with water, thus flowing into houses and even to the river, as we speak some of the children have developed diarrhea", said Roseline Bosibori.

They called on the county government to undertake measures to stop the flooding by creating culverts and dykes.1
