Fire razes down property in Kijiji, Lang'ata. [Photo| Twitter]
Property of unknown value were destroyed on Sunday evening following a huge fire at Kijiji slum in Lang'ata, Nairobi.
The fire which started at around 8.00pm spread quickly thus making it difficult to put it off.
Fire extinguishers which arrived at the scene after an hour had a had time in accessing the area due to congestion of houses.
The fire engines were not enough with those that came running out of water.
Several houses, entertainment joints and business structures were burnt down to ashes with hundreds of resident being left homeless.
The cause of the fire is yet to be established.
No casualties were reported so far.
Kijiji slum is opposite Southlands Estate in Lang’ata.
