Suneka residents and the neighboring have been cautioned against selling their land over petty needs which can be met with little money or by calling for help from authorities.

Addressing the residents in Suneka township the Riana MCA Philip Obote said most of them have double pieces of land in Riana and Suneka town are tempted to sell their land to investors at a very throw away price as they move to the interior parts and leave the town,

He urged the residents to invest in Education and avoid selling land without any critical pressing need for development projects and said that land can help them invest if they utilize it wisely..

“The area resident has the tendency of selling their land over small issues like building a home or even others sell their land to just drink alcohol using the money and if they continue this way the next generation will have no land to reside on” said Obote

He also called upon the residents to stop drug abuse more especially alcohol which has become the major problem to youth in the area which also drive them to sell their land at a very cheap price only to waste their money.
