Locals at Suneka town, Kisii town now want the county government of Kisii to move a sewage plant it place there to somewhere else.
They said that the plant was exposing them to diseases and they nolonger wanted it there.
"The sewage pllant has become a threat to our lives and the governor should consider relocating it from here," said Anthony Osingi, a local.
He also raised concern that the seeage plant emunated a bad stench which he described as sickening.
Another resident Millicent Nyakina said that children were fond of playing at the plantation which exposed them to health risks.
She asked the area Member of Parliament John Oyioka to push the county government in relocating the plant.
"We are asking our area Member of Parliament to intervene and help in ensuring that the plantation is moved from here completely," he said.
