Suneka residents in Kisii County have received a free eye treatment from a charitable organisation known as World for Eye.
According to the organisation’s Chief Executive Officer Christopher Wail, their organisation will be helping the community, especially the old and the ones who have been for a while having eye problems, get checked and at the same time get the treatment needed.
“We will carryout the exercise to those parts that have the highest record of people having eye problems and we will make sure we have offered them the right treatment as per the results of infection,” said Wail. adding that they will clean eye sights for the old who shall present themselves and also give out spectacles to those who seem to have deeper problems.
According to one patient Patric Morumbwa they are happy with the free services being offered by the organisation and called upon those who have not yet turned up to make sure they do so in the two days remaining.
“I can see many people here though most of them are the old and this does not mean they are the only affected ones, l would be happy to see even the young coming here for the check up also,” said Morumbwa.
The exercise will be ongoing for three days in Suneka town before they move to other areas of the county and to other surrounding counties.
