ODM national Treasurer Timothy Bosire has hinted that the opposition party is not keen on joining forces with ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi's much touted National Super Alliance (NASA).
Speaking to the Daily Nation on Monday, the Kitutu Masaba MP said the super alliance is not on top of ODM's agenda, adding that the party is instead seeking closer and stronger ties with other Cord coalition partners ahead of the 2017 polls.
“Mudavadi was with us at first and jumped out. But if he is ready to come back so be it. He is welcome. Cord is a strong coalition that enjoys massive support,” Bosire said.
According to Mudavadi, NASA seeks to unite all opposition parties under one umbrella to contest against the newly formed Jubilee Party spearheaded by President Uhuru and his deputy William Ruto in the 2017 elections.
The super alliance's formation would further complicate political affairs in the opposition, given Cord is yet to settle on a presidential candidate for the next general election.
