Kiambu County leaders have once again been asked to shun from supremacy battles and instead work together for the good of Kiambu people.
Speaking in Kiambu on Saturday, Kikuyu MCA Binary Wainaina said elected leaders in the county need to work together so as to achieve the intended target.
“All elected leaders in Kiambu County must work together because that is why we were elected, to deliver to the electorate,” said Wainaina.
"It cannot be that all the time is endless politics. People want to see things being done. The Senate and the National Assembly must also put their differences aside,” added Wainaina.
Wainana noted that the constitution defines well the role of each elected leader, and therefore there should be no superiority showdowns.
"Superiority battles will take us nowhere. The constitution is clear on what each of us is supposed to do and we should stick to that,” added the MCA.
This comes as the Senate threatens to go to court if the president signs into law the contentious Mining Bill of 2014. The Senators say that the national assembly ignored their input.
