The suppliers led by Richard Rambara said the contractor, Philmark Systems Limited has been dodging them since September last year and they fear that they may fail to receive what is due for them.

Speaking to the media on Thursday at Nyando Sub County Commissioner’s office, they expressed disappointment with the contractor saying the county assembly is now their only rescue.

“We have sought attention of the contractor but it seems things are not going the right way. Some of us took loans from banks, friends, and personal savings to be able to do this business and failure to get the pay is becoming a big problem between us and our sources of funding,” said Rambara.

The Sh350 million project funded by the World Bank is expected to be completed in July where new court structure is to be put up.

Rambara said the World Bank has released money for the job, and they suspect the contractor has just been playing ‘hide and seek’ with them.

“We have since stopped supplying the contractor and we are giving him up to the end of this month to give us our money or we take action. We will also storm the Chief Justice’s office so as to know what is going on,” added Rambara.
