Mavoko MP Patrick Makau wants the Machakos government to supply residents in the constituency with clean water.

The MP has complained that the area is not supplied with clean tap water saying the situation puts them at risk of contracting water borne diseases.

He observed that for a long time the constituency has been denied access to clean drinking water.

“The Machakos County should consider our fate and supply us with clean drinking water,” said Makau.

Meanwhile, the MP wants the county government to collaborate with the national government to promote security.

The MP complained that despite terror threats in some parts of the country, much in terms of security are not being done in Machakos.

The legislator appealed to law enforcers in the county to remain vigilant and deal with suspicious acts and individuals.

Makau said that Kenya is at war with terrorists and that nothing should be left to chance in terms of security.

He called for intensified patrols in estates and villages adding that there is need for the public to work with police.

Makau said it is not time to blame each other for failures in security sector and instead asked policy makers to draft policies that will guarantee security.
