The MP said that some aspirants seeking elective seats in the 2017 elections are non-performer and they should not be voted for.

Speaking at Ndumberi grounds on Saturday during thanksgiving prayer ceremony in appreciation of the recently passed law capping banks interest rates, Njomo asked locals not to confused by aspirants who are claiming to be performers when in real sense they are not.

“You should not be blinded by some people who are going around claiming to have performed when they have let you down in terms of development,” said Njomo.

The Kiambu local maker said that time has come for Kenyans to elect leaders basing on their development capability.

He observed that for a long time voters have been voting basing on people’s popularity and parties and not their ability to perform.

The Kiambu Town legislator also asked locals to keep off leaders who perpetuate political hatred.

He said that perpetrators of political divisions and hatred must be avoided for peaceful 2017 general elections.

The MP urged aspirants eyeing various seats to commit to preach unity and peace.

He at the same time urged marginalised groups in the area to take advantage of the capped interest rates on loans and apply for soft loans to start business enterprises.

Njomo said that commercial banks are offering soft loans that can help empower women, youth and the disabled.
