Nakuru West MP, Samwel Arama has said the 2017 elections will be a walk over for President Uhuru Kenyatta if CORD leader Raila Odinga will be the flag bearer for Cord Coalition.
Arama said Raila is handing UhuRuto an outright victory by insisting that he will be on the ballot in 2017.
Speaking Sunday in Nakuru town, Arama called on Raila to hand over the CORD ticket to someone else if he wants the coalition to remain relevant in Kenya's politics.
“2017 will be a walk over for Uhuru if Raila will be on the ballot because he poses no challenge or threat to them and putting him on the ballot will be an embarrassment to the CORD coalition and himself,” said Arama.
“If he couldn’t beat Uhuru in 2013 when he was still in government as the Prime Minister, what makes him think he will beat him in 2017 when Uhuru is the President?” he said.
Speaking on Friday during ODM's 10th anniversary, Raila said no one will be handed the coalition's ticket.
