Kiambu county youth and sports executive member Machel Waikenda has called on the parents to support the youth and children grow their dreams which may later turn to careers.
Waikenda said that the biggest challenge he is facing at the moment is dealiong with youth who have not defined their future and they need help from him thus its hard to give his best without the parents’ help.
He added that he has been calling on the youth to identify the area they want to venture into and call for his support and in return they stay stranded not knowing where to start and where to to end.
He said that he will find it easier to help them if at all the parents contributon in t hegrowth and development of the county youth affairs, is discharged in the best way possible to give light to the youth who ahve in the recent days gotten into rotten behaviors, drug abuse and immorality.
The CeC said that the ongoing Youth Empowerment program was meant to sine some light to the Kiambu youth and ensure they are supported in all means that the county is capable so as they can build their future.
He called on the youth to utilise the available chances of training in the county initiatives to ensure they are better of in the future.
He was speaking in Thika town office on wednesday when he met a group youth.
