Mwala MP Vincent Musyoka has urged Machakos leaders to support governor Alfred Mutua in his development agenda and end ‘petty’ politics.
Speaking when he inspected road construction projects in Mwala town on Friday, Musyoka said that as county leaders they have a responsibility to unite and work as a team.
He said that ‘petty’ politics, baseless accusations and political witch-hunt will derail development in the county.
“As Machakos leaders we must unite and work towards improving the living standards of our people. It is not proper that we are busy fighting against each other when people on the ground are suffering,” he said.
The MP said that Machakos is a united county and as leaders they will not allow people to cause divisions.
He urged leaders who perpetuate hate politics to keep off the county and allow county leaders to address their own issues.
“We don’t need the sympathy of other people, as Machakos people and leaders we will address our issues,” he said.
The MP urged the Machakos governor to remain firm and stand with the people.
He added that some politicians are keen to disrupt the good record of development that has been realised in the county.
At the same time, the MP lauded Governor Mutua for working with the national government on matters health.
