Governor William Kabogo has urged residents to support his re-election bid as governor in next year’s general election.
Addressing residents at Kimende town after launching the Sh9.5 Million Kijabe Water project on Wednesday, Kabogo said that his government had achieved much for the people promising to work harder in terms of development if re-elected in 2017.
The Governor intimated that his development speaks for itself.
“My appeal is for your support so that we can continue working together and take development to another level,” said Kabogo.
The Kiambu governor hit out at his critics who he said were inciting locals against him, noting that critics were envious of his development agenda and were looking for ways of discredit him.
The Kiambu boss however said that he is ready for anyone and that locals are the people who will speak out on who they want come 2017.
Kabogo has been under pressure after the entry of Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu into Kiambu politics, and the two will square out come next year's elections.
The two leaders have been exchanging bitter words publicly, with majority of Kiambu MPs and MCAs who have fallen out with Kabogo rallying behind Waititu’s candidature in 2017.
“I believe and know that I have done much for Kiambu people and we can still do more,” he added.
