Nyaribabri Chache MP Richard Tong'i has yet again hit at the opposition leader Raila Odinga by claiming that he does not have concrete plans for Gusii community.
Tong'i also faults the former Prime Minister for allegedly taking the community's previous support for granted by failing to develop the region when he was in government.
Speaking at Gianchere on Sunday, the first time lawmaker challenged Gusii community to elect Jubilee government or risk another five years of underdevelopment.
"We must get realistic at some time because politics is about interest. Raila had an opportunity to improve our region but he failed dismally when we needed him the most," he said.
"Even though we did not vote for Jubilee government in numbers, they have at least shown the will by initiating a number of development projects in this region," added Tong'i.
Gusii region voted for the opposition leader overwhelmingly in the last two elections but the Jubilee team, through several legislators, have been making inroads in the vote rich region.
