Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has urged foreign governments and investors to support development projects in the county.

Speaking when he hosted Korean Ambassador to Kenya Young-Dae Kwon who had paid him a courtesy call at his Kiambu office on Tuesday, Kabogo said development will be realized equitably if foreign investors and countries pump their money into the country.

Kabogo noted that through partnerships, development will be realized in the process  boost the lives of the locals. He stated that his government is working closely with foreign investors and government on development projects.

“There is great need for us to foster good relations that will enable partnerships and investments,” he said.

Kabogo urged investors not to fear but pump their resources into Kiambu.

The Governor promised incentives to foreign investors wiling to set up business in the county.

On his part, the Korean Ambassador to Kenya lauded devolution system.

Mr Kwon  said that through devolution of government services and functions locals will benefit. He added that the Korean government is supporting various development projects in the country.

He cited infrastructure and ICT as key areas that the Korean government is keen to boost in Kenya.

“We will continue to support development projects in Kenya especially in areas of ICT and Infrastructure,’ said the Korean Ambassador.
