Youth in the country have been urged to support President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election bid in the repeat presidential poll set for October 17.Linford Mutembei, chairman of the Mt Kenya Youth Caucus, said Uhuru should be given another term because his Jubilee administration has shown great commitment to youth empowerment."When you go round the country you will see youth who have been employed under the National Youth Service (NYS) programme and are appreciative of the government’s commitment to empower them," Mutembei said on Tuesday."More jobs will be created for them if President Uhuru retains power after next month election," he added.Mutembei cautioned the young people against being used by politicians who are only in pursuit of their own selfish gains."Your vote matters and that is why you should actively participate in the electoral process. Let your voice be heard through the ballot not through hate speech on social media or violence in the streets," he added.
