Machakos county governor hopeful Wavinya Ndeti has asked Kenyan men to support and empower women in politics and give them an equal chance to showcase their leadership qualities.

Speaking via her official Twitter handle after a live appearance on KTN, the Chama Cha Uzalendo (CCU) party leader pleaded with men to lower their egos for once and let the women take up leadership responsibilities in the society.

Hon Wavinya who also doubles as the Chairperson, political parties Liaison Committee- Kenya, is among the few Kenyan women who are seeking to unseat incumbent governors in various counties.

She has proved to be the only sure bet that could send Governor Alfred Mutua of Machakos home come 2017 with her tremendous support she now enjoys in the county.
