Supremacy battle between Garsen MP Ibrahim Sane and Tana River County Governor Hussein Dado has widened as the next general election draws closer.
The Garsen MP has rubbished a recent report that ranked the county as second best in development expenditure by 59 per cent, terming it as baseless and a product of media fabrication.
Sane said it is unfortunate that the Tana River County government under the leadership of Governor Dado has failed the people of Tana River.
Sane said the people are eagerly waiting for a replacement come next general election, adding that area leaders have decided to come up with a new line up of an alternative leadership that will be unveiled to the people of Tana River.
He added that despite the disasters ranging from floods, hunger and conflicts in the region; the county government has done nothing to alleviate the suffering of its citizens.
