The Supreme Court could not deliver a good ruling on the presidential election petition because it has become biased.
This is according to Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa.
Speaking after the court approved the reelection of President Uhuru Kenyatta in the October 26 repeat elections, Wamalwa said that the president's constant threats to 'fix' the judiciary had played a big role in intimidating the judges into making decisions to favour the government.
Wamalwa said that the body language at the court indicated the judged were not acting out of their own will.
"President Uhuru openly promised to fix the judiciary after the annulment of his August win, the Monday's ruling clearly indicates that the intimidations worked," Wamalwa said.
“We don’t want Kenya to burn, if it burns many people will suffer, we want to live in peace,” he said.
Wamalwa was speaking at a Kitale court after attending another hearing of the petition against Trans Nzoia governor Patrick Khaemba.
