Supreme Court Judge Isaac Lenaola has written to State House Director of Digital Communication Dennis Itumbi to demand an apology for defamation.
Lenaola said that should Itumbi not apologise, he will go ahead and sue him for damaging his reputation.
The Judge said that he is a person of impeccable character and a citizen who has achieved both local and international accolades and so Mr Itumbi’s social media posts dragging him in corrupt scandals were aimed at soiling his good reputation.
“By the reason of the said words, our client’s hitherto solid professional and legal profession has been injured and has been brought to public scandal, odium and contempt,” said Lenaola's lawyer.
“Our instructions are to demand which we hereby do, your immediate scrubbing of your tweets and postings, and thereafter unqualified apology to our client, whereupon we can discuss the quantum payable.”
