Former Kitutu MP Timothy Bosire has hailed the Supreme Court for overturning President Uhuru Kenyatta's victory in the August 8 general election.
Bosire said the ruling, which was delivered on September 1, should not be taken for granted as it saved the country from political violence that was taking shape.
"Supreme Court ruling should be celebrated and hailed as a miracle and gift from God. It is in line with past great events in Kenya's political life that revived citizens' hopes," Bosire wrote in an opinion piece published by the Standard.
The former lawmaker added: "Those who are opposed to it need prayers for they are enemies of Kenya. Yet it is God's hand of mercy that rescued Kenya from looming bloodshed."
Bosire opinion is in wide contrast with the Jubilee politicians', who has maintained the Chief Justice David Maraga-led court 'stole' their victory by annulling the results.
"The Supreme Court judges stole my victory. They would have ordered for a fresh count of votes to determine what was the will of Kenyans," President Kenyatta criticised the ruling on Wednesday.
The judgment has left the country divided down between the middle.
