Nzoia Sugar striker Elvis Rupia is the 2018 season Kenya Premier League (KPL) top scorer so far.
The former Muhoroni Youth player scored two goals against AFC Leopards in a match that ended in a 2-2 stalemate over the weekend to take his tally to 8 goals this season.
His goals have helped lift the Bernard Mwalala-led side to 10th on the KPL log with 13 points after 10 rounds of matches.
AFC Leopards striker Ezekiel Odera is hot on the heels of Rupia. The former City Stars and Gor Mahia striker has scored 5 goals for Coach Dennis Kitambi-led side.
Odera’s goals have helped keep AFC Leopards third on the log with 17 points, two points behind second-placed perennial rivals Gor Mahia.
Mathare United’s Cliff Nyakeya and Erick Kapaito of Kariobangi Sharks have also scored five goals each.
Nyakeya’s goals continue to count the most as Mathare United positions itself for a first KPL title since 2008.
