AFC Leopards have been given the green-light to play their Confederation Cup at the Bukhungu Stadium.
This comes after a two-day inspection by Confederation of Africa Football, who ascertained that the grounds were good enough for the show.
The Leopards will host Madagascar’s Fosa Juniors FC on the weekend of February 9, and the area locals will now be elated to have the team host their opponents there.
“We are going to play in Western (Bukhungu Stadium) and its good news that CAF have given us permission because we have a lot of support from the area. The CAF inspectors were in Bukhungu on Monday and Tuesday, so we are just waiting for official report but all is positive,” said AFC Leopards boss Dan Mule, who spoke to Capital sports.
The pick of the stadium will be a big boost for Ingwe, who have a huge support in the area.
The team will however shift focus to the start of the season opener against Gor Mahia, which will be played on Sunday, 28 at the Nakuru’s Afraha Stadium.
The match will be a curtain rasise fo the new KPL seaon, which will kick off next week.
