Mungai has said that the necklaces are at the risk of being stolen or sold by unscrupulous county officials.

"These necklaces are very valuable and must be surrendered to the Kinuthia Wamwangi-led Transitional Authority. I have spoken to TA and I was told that the necklaces from the four councils are yet to be surrendered," Mungai said.

The four necklaces, he said are from former Nakuru municipal council, Molo county council, Nakuru county council and Naivasha county council.

"Many of the other former county and municipal councils elsewhere have done so and we are now waiting for Nakuru County government to do the same. This is not politics, we just want Nakuru people to know things are going the right way," he said.

Mungai was addressing journalists in Nakuru town after attending the Madaraka Day celebrations on Monday.
