The battle pitting Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and Coast Regional Coordinator Nelson Marwa has been renewed.
This comes after Marwa asked Joho to surrender his 'militia' immediately or face arrest.
Speaking in Mombasa on Thursday Marwa said the State will dismantle a gang allegedly associated with the governor, and warned the ODM deputy party leader against threatening the government.
"Go tell him to surrender those militias. He should surrender those ex-police walking behind him immediately. We already have their names and even if they run to court to gag us, they can't succeed because I am talking to Kenyans," said Marwa.
The no-nonsense administrator further faulted Joho for rejecting the security detail assigned to him by the State, saying it is his Constitutional right.
