A survey conducted by Infotrak in conjunction with the Christian Aid and Pan African climate Justice Alliance has established that if any politician wants to be elected in the August 8 elections, they should support clean energy.

From the research findings, almost two-thirds of Kenyans will most likely support a political party that has an agenda for clean energy.

The study was done between January 9 and 13 and sampled 1,536 respondents from 8 provinces.

“Energy drives development and we wanted to know if Kenyans would move from the tribal arithmetic and consider this an important campaign agenda,” said Mr Mithika Mwenda.

The survey was set to gauge whether Kenyans can consider energy and clean energy as a trigger on their choice of candidate in elections.
