A Kisii Seventh-Day Adventist pastor has challenged all faithful’s to repent and be part of the chosen few following a fire tragedy at Iterio High School that left only the Holy Bible recovered.
The Bible was the only tangible item recovered in the fire that destroyed properties worth millions in the seven dorms of the South Nyanza School.
And in an exclusive interview with the reporter, Pastor Henry Nyamwanda of Nyamira Conference termed the incident ‘a modern ‘miracle that issued signs of the second coming of Jesus Chris.
“I am a Christian and I believe in the second coming of Jesus. The Itierio fire tragedy that left the Bible recovered unburned is an indication that God is omnipresent as always,” he said.
“Time has come for people to repent and be part of the chosen few. It was a modern miracle that people should not ignore. The Bible is the strongest weapon to the human race and surviving in that fire is a true confirmation of a natural super being,” he said.
Similar sentiments were echoed by Iterio religion teacher Grace Mboga who urged people to worship God who makes miracles possible.
“It’s sad that our children lost properties but I am very happy that the Bible remained as a warning to those who don’t want to get rid of the burden in the form of sins. Let people worship the true God who makes miracles possible,” she said.
