Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika and Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri have buried their hatchet.
The two, who met at a public function in Bahati said they had buried all their differences, and have agreed to work together for the wananchi.
The duo fell off in 2016 when the senator made known her intentions of vying for the senatorial post in this year’s elections.
The main reason for their differences was fighting for political supremacy, especially with both leaders hailing from Bahati.
“Hakuna vita, tumemaliza, sisi wanasiasa tuanpenda kueneza uvumi (We are not fighting, we have solved our differences now. You know us politicians love spreading rumours). It’s true I was looking for your weaknesses so that I could beat you in politics,” said Kihika during the meeting.
They raised over shillings 27 millions including, a20 million cash grant from the Ministry of Education, shillings 2 millions as projects cash award from the Bahati NG-CDF, shillings 2 millions from President Uhuru, shillings 1 million from Deputy President, William Ruto shillings, 1 millions from parents, shillings 150,000 from Senator Susan Kihika among other donations from invited guests
