Al Shabaab is suspected to be behind the beheadings of people in Hindi, Lamu West
The victims were reportedly killed in Silini-Mashambani and Bobo villages.
According to one senior administrator, who saught anonymity, one of the victims was killed at Silini-Mashambani village Tuesday evening.
Another victim was beheaded at 1.30am Wednesday in Bobo village.
The administrator added that the militants went door to door ordering victims out their houses and then proceeded to behead three men.
Lamu County Commissioner Gilbert Kitiyo confirmed the reports but said they still not certain whether it was Al Shabaab.
“Four people have been killed at Bobo and Silini in Hindi. We are yet to establish whether those who carried out the attacks were really Al-Shabaab. It is suspicious that the attackers were calling people by their names before beheading them,” said Mr Kitiyo.
Residents took to the streets to protest against the current increase in insecurity and asked the government to come up with a permanent solution the problem.
