At least four people are feared dead, after suspected Al-Shabaab militants raided Jima and Pandaguo areas in Lamu County, early Saturday.
According to the regional police commander Akello Odhiambo, the attackers are believed to have come through Boni Forest, shot and hacked to death villagers."We have sent more security reinforcement to the scene to pursue the attacks," Odhiambo said according to Xinhua News.Security has been heightened in the region, as more officers have been sent to pursue the attackers.The attack comes barely a week after militants killed three police officers in the same region in raid on a police camp, and after the death of Interior and Coordination Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery.
