Police officer in charge of Teachers Police Post Mercy Musyoka where the criminal case was reported told this writer that the man, 26-year-old Kevin Onduso, who is a suspected drug user, was seen by a neighbour carrying several grade chicken from the farm yesterday evening.

She said the neighbour had alerted the suspect’s parents who upon inspecting the farm this morning found several birds missing and reported the matter to police.

The police boss added that, the suspect whose parents had put him in charge of feeding and cleaning services at the poultry farm was arrested at a drinking joint and is helping police with investigations into the matter.

“His parents believe he has been sneaking birds from the farm and selling them to get money for drugs. They want him punished by law to rectify his behaviour,” said Musyoka.

The police boss added that the Kenya Industrial Training Institute college dropout has been implicated before in other criminal activities in the area including being arrested along with others at a bhang peddling den in the neighbouring Keratina estate.
