Three accused persons suspected to be drug dealers were on Friday released on bond by a court.
Bhai Abdalla, Kassim Bila and Khadija Mkali were being accused of allegedly selling illegal drugs in the Coast region.
The court heard that the three accused persons were arrested committing the crime on January 24, 2018 in Langoni area, Lamu.
The three accused persons were arrested on the material date at a house in Langoni area in a sting operation by police officers on drug dens.
Resident magistrate Njeri Thuku heard that the three at the time of their arrest were found in possession of 73 big rolls of bhang.
The court further heard that the bhang is believed to have been smuggled in from Tanzania whose street value is yet to be ascertained.
The accused persons however denied the charges before the court and filed an application to be released on bail pending the next case hearing.
Magistrate Thuku granted the request and ordered for the three to be released on a Sh250,000 bond each.
The case will be heard on March 13, 2018.
