A man suspected to be a livestock thief was on Wednesday night arrested in Bogeka Nyaribari Masaba Kisii County.
This is after residents raised an alarm that the man has been tricking them that he owns bulls that will help cultivate their lands at a fee.
A resident, Charles Morang’a said the suspect came to his home asking for cultivating work.
“He came to me on Monday morning and told me that I should allow him to cultivate my land. I didn’t realise that he was surveying my compound. On the fateful night, my bull was stolen. I alerted residents who arrested the man and surrendered him to Ramasha police station,” said Morang’a.
He added that the suspect was later transferred to Kisii Central police station where he is currently being detained before he is arraigned in court.
“I will pursue the case until I get justice. The suspect should produce bull he stole because he is the only one who came to my home the same day the incident happened,” he added.
