Two suspected robbers were killed in Buruburu estate on Wednesday in botched robbery incidents.

The duo were killed after they broke into a residential house and stabbed an 18-year-old.

Police said that neighbours came to the teenager’s rescue when he raised alarm and they responded almost immediately, stoning the suspects to death.

"The two men in Buruburu aged between 22 and 24 were stoned to death by a mob that responded to an alarm, they had severely injured a teenager in the house," police said.

In a separate incident, a suspected thug was killed in Eastleigh and a pistol recovered.

The suspect was in the company of two others who managed to escape on foot.
