Three suspected thieves are fighting for their lives in Hospital after they were attacked by a mob at Pioneer estate in the outskirts of Eldoret town.
The three are alleged to be among a group of criminals who have been attacking and robbing locals near the Sosiani River bridge, a few kilometers from Eldoret town centre.
According to eye witnesses, an angry mob attacked the three after they allegedly snatched a phone from a passerby on Monday.
Police however arrived at the scene at managed to save the suspects who were later taken to the nearby Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital.
"They tried to run towards the river as usual but this time round they were unlucky," noted one of the eye witnesses.
"This place has always been dangerous as there is a group of people who steal phones and other valuable and at times rape case are reported," he added.
