A suspected thug was on Wednesday killed by police officers near the Mama Lucy hospital following a failed robbery attempt.

It is reported that the suspect was shot dead along Kangundo Road as he attempted to escape.

A pistol, handcuffs, police ID card, a pair of number plates and a stolen vehicle were recovered by the officers, The Star reports.

This comes after an incident in a Kayole club earlier in the day where three suspects were shot dead.

The trio are said to have raided a club, stealing cash and other valuables, before they were killed as they tried to escape.
