A video of a suspected witch went viral last week when it was first posted in Borabu Watchtowers WhatsApp group.
In the video, reportedly captured in a remote village of Bonchari, angry locals are heard compelling the lady, in her nudity, to identify her home.
Captured in the morning hours, the lady seems terrified having been nabbed perhaps unexpectedly by suspecting locals.
"Take your shoes and leave this place. We do not want to see you," one of on lookers is heard saying.
Another one adds: "We want to know your place right now.We must know where you come from so that we handle you."
Apparently, the penalty of being caught in such acts is death by fire but interestingly, the locals seems philanthropic enough to escort the lady.
An elder Samuel Nyandoma agrees that such acts have embroiled the community for years adding that the real motive is yet known.
"I have seen people die on witchcraft allegations so the video isn't really shocking. These things are common in Gusiiland," he says.
Shockingly, the matter has not been reported to any police station with sources saying they opted for informal settlement by warning the middle aged woman.
