The mob set ablaze his poultry house and a food granary as they bayed for the blood of Stephen Mokua whom they accused of bewitching two of his brothers’ children.

Ogembo OCPD, Richard Muguai said police shot in the air to disperse the mob as the suspect locked himself in his house.

“Mokua is with us at Ogembo police station as we seek consultations from the security team as to where to take him. His home is no longer safe for him,” Muguai added.

According to the residents, Mokua was believed to have been behind the death of his brothers’ sons who passed on a few weeks ago in a grisly accident in Kilgoris.
