A Mombasa high court has directed two suspects accused of killing a banker at the Nyali center to undergo medical test at the Coast General hospital pending investigations.

The suspects, Hamisi Hare Karisa and Saidi Mwamuye Mwalungo, have also been detained as police examine the circumstances behind the death of the David Wokabi on the 7th January 2018.

The detention comes after state prosecutor Erick Masila filed an application seeking the remanding of the duo at the Bamburi police station for five days to allow his side complete investigation into the suspicious death.

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested the suspects at Shanzu courts moments after assault charges were withdrawn.

It is suspected that the Wokabi, a former a banker at Stanbic Bank, Nyali branch in Mombasa, died days after he was manhandled by four guards for allegedly relieving himself at business premises they were guarding.

Lady Justice Dorah Chepkwony ordered to two be detained 31st January 2018 when the case will be heard.
