Four police officers charged with the murder of lawyer Willie Kimani, his client and their driver have been denied bail by the High Court.
Justice Jessie Lesit pointed out that some of the witnesses are family members of the late Kimani and stated that they are less likely to give evidence should the suspects be granted bail.
She ruled that there is likelihood the four will intimidate witnesses and also tamper with evidence.
The four will now face their trial while in custody.
Kimani, his client Josephat Mwenda and taxi driver Joseph Muiruri were killed and their bodies dumped in Oldonyo Sabuk River.
