A middle-aged man accused of sodomizing two schoolboys was on Wednesday charged before an Eldoret court.
The prosecution told the court that the suspect identified as Apollo Ouma Oucho committed the offense on July 19, 2015, at Rock Center estate on the outskirts of Eldoret.
The minors aged 10 and 12 years respectively were rescued from the suspect’s house by neighbors who saw them in the house at a time they should be at school.
The neighbors alerted the police who acted immediately and arrested the suspect and took him to Kapsoya police station.
The suspect has been in custody since then. The accused appeared before Eldoret Chief Magistrate Charles Obulutsa.
He pleaded not guilty to the offense and asked the court to release him on bond saying he won’t skip court proceedings.
The court released him on a Sh100,000 bond with a surety of a similar amount.
The case was set for hearing on May 11, 2018.
