President Uhuru Kenyatta has been urged to suspend the Jubilee Party interim officials’ list in Kisii County for his own political benefit.
Aspiring MCA Evans Toel of Sensi condemned elections which were held on Thursday at Kisii Sports Club, alleging that the officials were handpicked.
He said members of the party were kept in darkness throughout the process with top politicians fielding their favorite candidates.
“I want to urge our President to revoke the list of officials from Kisii County that was settled on Thursday. The process was skewed because top politicians imposed officials on us," he said.
On Thursday, Samuel Nyairo was elected Chairperson, Samuel Nyangeso (Secretary) and Mary Michieka as the Treasurer of the Jubilee Party.
The Jubilee party has witnesses violence in several counties as the party prepares to hold party primaries ahead of 2017 polls.
