Abiola said that the constant wrangling in the Assembly has been occasioned by the impending construction of the new Assembly.

He said that some MCAs who are now calling upon for the dissolution of the County Assembly were targeting to reap from the construction of the house and they have been blocked.

“All these noise in the Assembly are as a result of the impending construction of the new house, some MCAs want to be bribed by the contractor,” claimed Abiola.

He asked Governor Jack Ranguma to stop the intended construction as a way of ending the constant infighting in the county assembly.

Speaking to the press in Kisumu, Abiola said that the county government can prioritise the construction of the Assembly some other time.

“For this noise to come to an end, the governor shouldt stop any plans to construct a new Assembly, it can be constructed later so that Kisumu County Assembly performs its duties without any noise,” said the MCA.

He said funds that were earmarked for the construction of the Assembly should be channeled to Wards to spur development in the county.

Abiola noted that the constant in-fighting in the Assembly is affecting development of Kisumu County, a behaviour he says would ruin any development of the county if not stopped immediately.
