Ongou who was this week left out of the hook by a Kisumu Court over corruption allegation said he is now a clean man.

He was relieved off his duty after his arraignment in Court in May last year along side six county officials over procurement issues.

Ongou said that he was fixed by his political detractors.

“There was no case; some people just went to the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission to have me fixed. God is there watching,” he said.

He said it was clear in his mind that the case will collapse because it was 'built on sand'.

Speaking to the press at the county assembly grounds on Thursday, Ongou said since he has been cleared by the court he should get back his job.

However, he said he will allow the assembly especially the majority party ODM to make that decision.

“My coming back is now pegged on the party and I am happy they have seen that I was innocent and some people just dragged my name there for political reason,” he said.

Malin Olero of Kobura ward was appointed on acting capacity as the majority leader.

Already the suspended Speaker Ann Adul who was acquitted alongside Ongou has resumed her duties.

Ms Adul has taken over her office from acting Speaker Pamela Omino and already she has started chairing sessions in the Assembly.
