Two weeks after being declared ill and subsequently rushed to Kenya National Hospital, suspended Youth and Gender Affairs PS Lilian Omollo has been remanded at Lang'ata prison.
Director of Criminal Investigations gave Omollo a clean bill of health on Wednesday following outcry that she was hoodwinking investigators.
Last month, Omollo collapsed at the facility after she was denied bail by a Nairobi court over allegations of Sh9 billion theft from NYS.
"Given her condition, she was tired after sitting in court for over 12 hours. She had to be admitted," a witness had said.
On numerous occasions, doctors at KNH refused to publicly discuss her condition despite reports that she was well.
She is being charged of five counts of conspiracy to commit economic crimes, willful failure to comply with procurement rules and abuse of office.
