Birik condemned last week's incident where three members of that society had been killed. "We are going to mount security in the area and no form of law breaking will be condoned".

At the same time, Nakuru Senator James Mungai regretted the incident saying that even the Police were caught unawares. "We apologize to the families of the deceased and it is bad that this thing happened in this County", He furthermore judged that Police had probably not been informed about the meeting otherwise adequate security would have been provided.

Mungai noted that were it not for police quick action, there would have been more casualties. "It is a shame that people can die because of land in this era. We demand immediate action against the culprits."
