National Lands Commission (NLC) chairman Muhammed Swazuri has put on notice people occupy school houses yet they are neither teaching nor none teaching staff. He says, this is against the law and those found will face the law. "It's sad that some outsiders occupy teachers quarters leaving teachers to rent houses outside. They should vacate before I come for their neck," he said Friday, at Moi Girls Secondary school."Next week I will write them a circular of 30 days to vacate the premises failure to which law will take its course. How can one occupy school property and yet he is not a teacher?" he wondered. This comes after Uasin Gishu County KUPPET secretary general Elijah Maiyo complained of teachers houses being inhabited by outsiders. Schools affected in the county include Moi Girls Secondary , hill school Secondary and Uasin Gishu primary among others. He affirmed his commitment and that of the ministry of lands to ensure that every school is in possesion of a titledeeds."We have given over 1,000 title deeds schools across the country and we are poised to reach 24,000 which is our target," noted Swazuri.[National Lands Commission (NLC) chairman Muhammed Swazuri.
