Swazuri has said that the government  will not compensate buildings constructed after  launch of SGR on October 2016 by president Uhuru Kenyatta in Kajiado County for Nairobi Naivasha.

Speaking during a sensitization  meeting with residents in Kandisi,Rongai he said he will only open discussions for compensations  of landowners  who were not aware if the SGR will affect them.

In cases of people who were aware they will be affected but continued to build in order to be compensated,  will not be compensated."We will ensure landowners get paid in market price, we will involve your leaders and administrators, " he said. He said the government has put aside money to compensate  locals whose land will be acquired, the compensation will be done after validation of gazetted land. No one will be moved out before compensation is done.Kajiado North Member of parliament Joseph Manje said there should be Corporate Social Responsibility, he said the NLC should also ensure the locals get employment. The NLC has been  able to compensate  landowners who were affecting by Nairobi Mombasa routes , only few remaining because of court cases on ownership.
